We used to grind up steel cut oats for our little one in the magic bullet, so I would assume that putting regular oats in a vitamix would definitely work! you should try steel cut oats if you get the chance though : )

My favourite fruit is definitely water melon! That lettuce looks delicious!

gijess92g says:

I used to make homemade baby oatmeal for my son by putting the rolled oats in my baby bullet. I wouldn’t turn it into a complete powder, but to the point that the oats were much smaller. I would add water and cook it in the microwave until it was the consistancy of baby cereal. I would add pureed fruits and such. He loved it!

NaturallyThriftyMom says:

The berries weren’t organic. I feel the same as you though! I will always buy organic when possible / practical, but the other natural foods stores had only a few and full price was outrageous. Definitely one of the things that is best to buy organic though!

Brooke Hutchison says:

the oatmeal is for 6+ months. you need 1/2 a peach peeled and diced, 1 medium apple peeled cored and diced, 1/2 cup rolled oats, 1/2 water, 1 TBSP golden raisins, 1/2 natural yogurt. Combine all except yogurt in a small saucepan and simmer until the fruit is tender and the oats are cooked. Let it cool then stir in the yogurt. With the rice cereal you can add fruit puree when the time is right. I hope these are helpful and that you enjoy them.

Brooke Hutchison says:

I actually have 2 recipes. One for rice cereal and one for oatmeal. For the rice cereal you make a rice powder by grinding brown rice in a coffee grinder (you can grind a bunch and keep it in a tupperware or glass jar for later use) Bring a cup of water to a boil and add 1/4 cup of the rice powder stirring constantly with a wire whisk. Lower heat and simmer for 10 mins. Remember to stir or the rice will stick. Then stir in enough breastmilk/formula/milk for desired consistency.

rocco alex says:

thanks for the haul, can’t believe thats all you bought from Costco, we always buy way too much from Sam’s club. Not to be rude but were those berries organic? Just wondering since I’ve been eating cleaner I feel awful about berries, if I buy organic, they are so expensive and if I buy regular, I feel awful too….double edged sword.
